First Music Contact continues Seminars at Dean Arts Studio, a new once-a-month professional development workshops series, on February 22nd with AIM Ireland and TikTok presenting an information and networking event.
Attendees will get access to and insights from the team at TikTok, aligning with the organisation’s mission to promote growth, awareness and opportunities for the independent music industry at a national and international level.
Places are available on a first-come, first-served basis, free-of-charge for musicians and those working with them to help develop their careers. For this event 40 places will be held for AIM Ireland members with the remaining available under general admission.
This event follows on from the recent success of panels from First Music Contact covering “How to get Export-Ready”, hosted by FMC, and “Stagecraft: Getting Gig-Ready” , hosted by SelfMade.
CEO of AIM Ireland Gill Dooley:
“We have a highly skilled, agile workforce within the independent Irish music industry. There are sustainable career paths here – and we punch above our weight consistently in terms of export. What we want to do is offer our members a level playing field, so that they can continue to excel within their industry. Strategic partnerships such as ours with the team at TikTok, allow us to act as an interface between leading global companies and professionals working independently in music in Ireland.”
Darina Connolly, Head of Label Partnerships, TikTok (UK):
“We’re delighted to partner with AIM and its membership for this event, helping the fantastic Irish artist community get the most out of TikTok. We’ve been so impressed with the talent, energy and creativity of those using our platform and want to do what we can to help artists and music creators share their music, build their fanbase and continue the long tradition of exporting Irish music to the world. TikTok is a powerful platform and we want to play our part supporting music in Ireland.”
While tickets are free-of-charge, pre-registration is essential as capacity is limited.
